Well another successful Citrus Glean. We had about 14 volunteers and managed to fill up the whole U-HAUL trailer. I was worried at first that we may not have enough people but I was wrong. We had enough. The other nice thing was that we had repeat people. Five people that were at the very first glean that we had also showed up for this one. I guess they had so much fun that they decided to come back. (more…)

Friday, March 27th, 2009So today I met with the North Phoenix Action Group. Horse Help which is a non profit organization in Phoenix that uses horses as therapy for disabled people and troubled teens has opened up their facility to have Arizona Home Grown Solutions partner with them in turning a lot of their open and unused space into therapeutic gardening areas. This was the main highlight of the meeting and here are the meeting notes.

It came about after I realized that I had installed Ubuntu on many of the computers of people I knew, however I cannot always be there to provide them with support.
