So today my mother and I finally finished filling up the backyard. The trench that I had dug actually got filled back in July, however I’ve been taking my time filling it. What I did later was go around the cement side walks in the back of the house making channels that lead into the pit that was filled with wood chips. From there I filled the channels with wood chips and I hope as we move into the water season I’ll be able to catch and store a lot of water in the ground. Towards the end my mom gave me a hand and made some suggestions on what to do next. The two of us where out there for about three hours. I will take some pictures tomorrow and post them soon, for now I have to get ready for work. C ya.

September 6th, 2009Many of the Blender developers are hard at work making sure version 2.5 is everything they say it will be. I decided to begin using the development builds, which can be found at: http://www.graphicall.org/builds/
You can begin using the program but be cautious because it contains several bugs and unimplemented features as the developers work hard to put it all together. Check out this video for a summary of what’s currently in the new version:

As well, as programming. I put together a registration form for AZHS’s new community table. Soon I will work on getting the backend side of the software up and running.
There’s also my part time job that I go to 4 out of 7 days a week. Things aren’t too bad for me. C ya.

myToolBox Software Development: Update 00
April 2nd, 2009So this is the first post I am making on the development of the myToolBox web application. These are just a simple set of tools to use along side other web applications. I am developing them for Arizona Homegrown Solutions to help solve some small little problems we are running into here and there. Right now it is not all that impressive since a lot of the development time has been spent learning javascript, php, and mysql. I knew them to some degree before due to my exposure making web applications in the Ruby on Rails platform, but not to the degree I know now. Read the rest of this entry »
Citrus Glean – 2009.03.29
March 29th, 2009Well another successful Citrus Glean. We had about 14 volunteers and managed to fill up the whole U-HAUL trailer. I was worried at first that we may not have enough people but I was wrong. We had enough. The other nice thing was that we had repeat people. Action Group Meeting – March 2009
March 27th, 2009So today I met with the North Phoenix Action Group. Horse Help which is a non profit organization in Phoenix that uses horses as therapy for disabled people and troubled teens has opened up their facility to have Arizona Home Grown Solutions partner with them in turning a lot of their open and unused space into therapeutic gardening areas. This was the main highlight of the meeting and here are the meeting notes.
Seedballs and Mountain View Community Center
March 21st, 2009Seedballs 101
So today I attended the, Seedballs 101 with Ruby Sheffer, at the Dolce Verde Solutions Hub. It was a very interesting class. For those who do not know, seedballs are made of clay, potting soil, and a variety of seed species that are all rolled up into little balls. The balls can vary from the size of peas, Coco Puffs, or Whoppers candy balls. They look so much like candy balls that I almost ate one.
